I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
